Here’s how to vote in the Surrey civic election

The City of Surrey is encouraging all eligible voters to vote in the 2026 municipal election on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Voters can cast their ballot at any of the city’s 52 voting locations throughout Surrey. 

The municipal election gives Surrey residents the opportunity to help shape the future of their community by electing amayor, eight city councillors and six school trustees. 

Advance voting will also be available on Oct. 7, 10, 14 and 15, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following 10 locations: 

• Cloverdale Recreation Centre, 6188 176 Street 
• Earl Marriott Secondary, 15751 16 Ave 
• Ecole Panorama Ridge Secondary, 13220 64 Ave 
• Fleetwood Community Centre, 15996 84 Avenue 
• Frank Hurt Secondary, 13940 77 Ave 
• Fraser Heights Recreation Centre, 10588 160 St 
• Guildford Recreation Centre, 15105 105 Avenue 
• Kwantlen Park Secondary, 10441 132 St 
• Princess Margaret Secondary School, 12870 72 Avenue 
• Semiahmoo Secondary School, 1785 148 Street 

Registered voters should bring their voter card and one piece of acceptable identification. Those who are not registered can register when they vote by providing two pieces of acceptable identification. 

Accessible voting options are available, including vote by mail and curbside voting at all locations. All voting locations are wheelchair accessible. Voters can use the city’s interactive voting locations map to find a location and view estimated wait times. 

Preliminary election results will be posted on Oct. 17 after the polls have closed at 8 p.m. and the last voter has cast their ballot. Official results will be posted when ready.
